Note: For a long time, I was unable to find out much about
Silas or his ancestry. I started calling Simmons in Appling County
and was finally referred to Braxton Simmons. He had done research
and finally found a small reference to Anne in Judge Huxley's books.
Judge Huxley said that Anne Simmons had several children out of wedlock.
Braxton
is descended from one of Silas' sisters.
